All Forte Feature
In 2020 I took an interest in health & wellness. I educated myself and got comfortable in the gym. I decided to make a fitness-based Instagram to hold myself accountable. I figured if I posted my routine I’d reach my goals because I didn’t want to fail publicly. People laughed at me at first. Eventually, I gained followers who took an interest in what I was doing. They saw me as a reputable person they could come to with questions. I’d give people workouts or recipes and they’d come back saying how much I helped them. That was really cool. I started to think I should do this professionally. I got certified in personal training and began coaching clients online.

Then I realized that just because you have a passion for something doesn’t mean it has to be your career. I slowly fell out of love with coaching professionally. Fitness is an escape for me. Working out is my sacred time. So doing it for a living and not being able to turn it off created too much pressure. It made me realize that I loved having my career as my career and my passion as a release.

I wouldn’t have known coaching wasn’t for me if I didn’t take the chance on it. I could’ve dwelled on the fact that I put so much effort into building my brand, but I chose to see it as a positive learning experience. It wasn't until I lost my dad that I started looking at life this way. He was the most positive person in the world. I decided that if I'm not happy with what I do every day, there's no point in doing it. You only get one life.

I feel like my life is falling into place the way it's supposed to. I know it wouldn’t have if I didn't go through the bad shit too. You have to be uncomfortable sometimes for better things to come. It can be scary, but usually, the things that scare you are the most worthwhile.

My goal in life is to be 1% better each day. In my career, in fitness, in everything. I think my forte is authenticity. I’ve learned that to be happy you have to be the truest version of yourself and not worry about what people think. If you can lay your head down at night and be content with who you are, you're winning.
