Recipes To Elevate Your At-Home Coffee
All Editorial

All things are possible with coffee and a good outfit. We’ve shared our fashion advice, so now it’s time for us to spill our favorite at-home coffee recipes that embrace the art of living an elevated lifestyle and are bold enough to fuel your forte.

1. Nut Milk Cappuccino

Our every-morning staple. The key is to use clean nut milk. Because have you ever looked at the ingredients in the majority of store bought nut milk? Yeah, we’ll pass on those. We like to make our cashew milk at home (trust us it’s a lot quicker and easier than you think and you can make any nut milk you prefer). But sometimes life is just busy, in which we’ll opt for a store brand that uses only natural ingredients and no oils, like Malk.

Ingredients:

  • 2 shots espresso
  • ¼ cup cashew milk

Our Favorite Homemade Cashew Milk Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp raw cashews
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp 100% maple syrup
  • Pinch of Himalayan sea salt

Directions:

Simply warm and froth your nut milk and pour it on top of your espresso.

We keep it simple - using a Nespresso machine to make our espresso and warm/froth our milk and using the Nutr machine to make our homemade cashew milk.

For the Nutr, just add all of your ingredients and turn it on. It’ll be ready in about 5 minutes. Then strain the milk with the strainer provided, pour the milk into a jar, use what you need, and save the rest in the fridge to use over the next 4 days.

Don’t have the Nutr? Here’s a guide for using a blender instead.

2. Starbucks Favorite: Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso

It’s the perfect amount of bold, creamy, and slightly sweet. If you haven’t tried this one, you’re missing out on the drink of the summer. Here’s the Starbucks recipe we’ve been using to satisfy our cravings.

Ingredients:

  • 2 shots espresso
  • 2 tsp light brown sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened oat milk (homemade or we like Malt brand)
  • 1 ½ cups ice
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon

Directions:

Grab a cocktail shaker and stir the brown sugar with the espresso while it’s still hot until the brown sugar is dissolved. Add the oat milk and ice and shake it up for 15-20 seconds. Pour it into your glass and top it off with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

3. Vanilla Latte

A classic favorite that you can make hot or cold. Once again, we prefer using the cleanest ingredients possible, meaning we’re making our vanilla syrup at home.

Ingredients:

  • 2 shots of espresso
  • 1 tbsp vanilla syrup
  • Nonfat milk to your liking

Homemade Vanilla Syrup Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 ½ tbsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Make the vanilla syrup ahead of time. Here’s how - bring the water and sugar to a boil on the stovetop, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes before turning off the heat. Let it cool completely and then add the vanilla. Stays fresh in your fridge for about 2 weeks.

When you’re ready for your latte, simply make your espresso and combine it with milk and vanilla syrup. Serve it over ice or make it a hot latte by warming your milk on the stove to your desired temperature.

It's time to grab your mug and fuel your forte. However you take your coffee, always make it bold, elevated, and served in a chic mug.
